Congrats to Peter on a delightful defense of his work to study hydrogenase model compounds using 2D-IR spectroscopy. We wish you good luck in your postdoctoral research at Oak Ridge National Lab!
Lindsay Michocki Joins the Group
Lindsay Michocki, who was an undergraduate at the University of Maryland working with Amy Mullin, has joined the group! Welcome Lindsay!
Group Members Participate in Karle Symposium
Laura Kiefer gave a talk (first for our group), students presented posters (Ved won a prize); Kim and Laura played a major in the organization. This is a wonderful celebration of the depth and breadth of research in our department.
Group alumnus Dr. Carlos Baiz joins UT-Austin Faculty
Dr. Carlos Baiz, a 2011 Ph.D. graduate of the group has accepted an offer for a junior faculty position in the chemistry department at the University of Texas. Carlos has been a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Andrei Tokmakoff at the University of Chicago, and plans to study membrane biophysics, protein folding and nanoscale dynamics using experimental and theoretical nonlinear spectroscopy methods.
Congratulations, Carlos!
